January 2009 Projects

1.    The $500,000 State of California Grant approved last year has been delayed by the Governor due to the State’s Budget Crisis.  We will continue to proceed with the engineering design funded by shareholder assessments to be in a position to rebuild the crossing and add instrumentation to our water system as soon as the grant is funded.

2.    McAndrew Road

Approximately 400 feet of new 8 inch water line has been replaced and a new hydrant installed.

3.    McNell Road

Approximately 180 feet of old 4 inch pipeline was abandoned and replaced with 6 inch pipe increasing pressure and flow to upper McNell Road.

4.    Tunnel

Approximately 1,600 feet of tunnel line has been replaced, producing a more constant flow.

5.    Senior Canyon Clean Up

Old steel pipe has been removed from various locations and stockpiled near the reservoir.

6.    Resevoir

       Clean up has resumed including weed abatement and removal of brush and trees.
